Courtney Darby completed an Undergraduate Arts Degree with Creative Writing at the University of Galway in 2024. She spent her project year working on a novel with multi-prizewinning and Booker-shortlisted poet and fiction writer Elaine Feeney. She graduated with first-class honours and as a University Scholar. She is currently undertaking a merit scholarship-funded Master’s in Writing at the University of Galway, where she is completing a novel and working on a collection of poetry.  She has participated in various open-mic poetry events across Ireland. She enjoys writers such as John McGahern, Gwendoline Riley, and James Joyce, and poets Pablo Neruda, Franny Choi, and Elaine Feeney.
